Halifax have announced a new credit card that offers 0% interest on balance transfers and purchases for 10 months. However, the group have been criticised for encouraging those who already have credit card debt to spend further.
The Halifax describe their new 'Dual' card as the perfect solution for anyone wanting to transfer debt to a 0% deal and still have the option to spend further.
When the introductory period of 10 months is over, the credit cards interest reverts to 15.9% typical APR which experts say could leave many consumers struggling to meet repayments.
Howeverm Ken Stannard, head of Halifax card services, commented, "Whether you want to reduce the cost of your spending, reduce the cost of outstanding debt through a balance transfer, or both, with its zero per cent for ten months introductory offer the Halifax All-in-One card is ideal."
