The debt problems of British consumers are being more and more publicised to show how many people are struggling with their finances.
a number of people have sent emails to the BBC over recent weeks to let others know the debt problems they are experiencing, in the hope of helping others.
One such letter comments: "I'm 28, of course I'm in debt, I don't know a person my age who isn't. We own our own home, and have been affected by rate rises to the tune of £120 a month."
