A new website has been launched to help UK consumers who want to avoid getting into massive credit card debt.
Airaid.co.uk is a site dedicated to matching consumers to the credit card that is right for them. It does this by filtering out certain cards by asking questions about a consumers credit history, their spending habits and how good they are at making repayments.
Student debt is something that the group are particularly interested in aiding, as this age demographic are becoming the most likely to get themselves into severe credit card debt.
Marketing manager for AirAid, Graeme Collie commented, "Although we encourage students to look at the alternatives before borrowing and our advice to them is don't get into debt, in reality it's just not possible sometimes."
The group have also hit out against similar websites that claim to be able to help repair debt. "Unfortunately, there are too many websites that claim to compare credit cards but only offer the consumer loosely categorised, exhaustive lists of cards from which to choose."
Credit card debt in the UK is growing by the second. The last Credit Action debt statistics showed Britain had £54.8 billion of arrears on plastic alone.
