Consumers throughout the UK struggling with debt are getting in touch with debt consolidation companies and agreeing loans quicker than ever, in order to avoid being stung by bailiffs.
A study has shown that since October 2006, 64% of bailiffs are guilty of harassing and intimidating people and as a result many individuals (and families with children in particular) are refusing to take the risk.
Debt consolidation loans have already become even more popular than ever in 2007, as interest rate increases have left many people struggling to cope with increased household bills.
